Greg Maddux

Today one of the greatest pitchers to ever play the game hung up his cleats. Compiling 355 wins over his 23 year career, currently 8th all time in wins, Greg Maddux was quite possibly the best pitcher of his generation and my childhood. With consistency and poise, Maddux was an idol to us children of the 1990's. As an Atlanta Braves, and baseball fan I am sad to see him retire, yet grateful I got to see him play. Maddux played the the game with the respect and honor the game deserved in a time when many did not. A for sure inductee to the Hall of Fame it was a privilege for all of us to see him play.
