The Knights vs. The Wolfpack

It has now been announced the surging NC State football team will face off against the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers in the Papa Johns Bowl in Birmingham on December 29. This should be a fun match up as both teams have come on very strong to end the season after starting out slowly. A win here for the Wolfpack would mean a 7 win season, which I'm sure any Pack fan would have been thrilled with if you asked them their expectations before the season. There is no doubt that Coach O'Brien has this team on the move, and we will be competing for ACC championships in just a few years. I'm looking forward to seeing how Russell Wilson responds after being named ACC First Team Quarterback and Rookie of the Year, as a win here would be a exclamation point to a great season for him, as he has been through a lot in recovering from his early injuries. It truly was a magical season for him to win these awards after having being taken off the field on a stretcher in the season opener with a devastating concussion. Look for Wilson to lead the Pack to a close victory in our first trip to the postseason in the last 3 years.
